CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS DAY-SAMMY-THE FRIENDLY BEASTS

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

The weather is just right for Christmas Eve.  Now if there was just a little snow in the air, and that did happen.

Betty, Tea and Dylan came up this afternoon and we had a very nice visit.  Tea will be driving alone in a month.  Time goes by so quickly.  Dylan is so tall now.

My friend Francine reminded me today that tonight is the night the animals talk.    The Friendly Beast written by Robert Davis  in the 1920’s was  one the songs we used to sing as children. The music for this piece dates back to the 12th century.  I never hear it anymore and was glad that she reminded me of it.  It is a joyful song telling of all the gifts the animal brought to the Manager.  Here of course is my favorite part.

I, said the sheep with curly horn

I gave him my wool for his blanket warm

He wore my coat on Christmas morn

I said the sheep with curly horn

If you want to hear it done go online to The Friendly Beast

CHRISTMAS DAY

This is Sammy’s eighteenth Christmas with me.  Although he is on medications for different things , his hearing and walking have changed he still is the most lovable cat.  He is enjoying a pre-breakfast nap.

THE LIVING MANAGER

The service was really nice and there was lots of singing of Carol’s.  The sheep behaved themselves very well.
